LUCY
I have recently moved back to the home of my childhood and so far its been better than I ever dreamed.
I live on a farm not far from Hawarden with my husband Pip and we have a 16 year old son Sam at Boarding school in Christchurch.
I have been an artist my whole life beginning at a young age as a painter then trained in Visual Communications so I continued as a Graphic designer.
For some reason I found myself in the photography field although it was of no surprise as I have had a camera in hand most of my life as it complimented all my other art interests.
I love food for the eyes and am inspired by many things in my everyday surroundings, landscapes, colours, big skies, light and how it reflects on our landscapes and filters through the trees, enhances colours and creates mood.
I love how it is forever changing, I find myself repeatedly photographing the same things as the light continuously changes through the days and through the seasons.
I create my own prints inspired by my everyday surroundings these you can buy from my online
Fine Art Gallery on my website.
I also work under the name of Watermark Photography (originally Watermark Design) where I photograph all sorts of interesting people doing amazing things for their own business use or for publications.
I also cover events and have photographed many Wedding events so do enjoy photographing people.
I love seeing their different characters and see beauty in their personalities, I get a real kick out of photographing a person that may not necessarily want their photo taken but are pleasantly surprised by the result.
My new passion over the last 3 years has become singing and I go weekly to Christchurch to sing at the Voices Co. Academy where we do modern contemporary pop a Capella as part of a group!
I love this so much and adds even more colour to my life learning something else creative and this time not visual!
